HIROTEC Announces Expansion Plans for a New Facility in Auburn Hills

Auburn Hills, MI., July 11, 2014 – HIROTEC Group, a global automotive supplier specializing in production of body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, and closure manufacturing equipment announced expansion plans for a new state-of-the-art facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

HIROTEC finalized the purchase of 20 acres of land in the Oakland Technology Industrial Park earlier this month. The new building will contain approximately 42,000 square feet of office space and 174,000 square feet of manufacturing space, with future expansion capabilities of an additional 125,000 square feet.

“Our investment in this new facility highlights HIROTEC’s commitment to our customers, employees, and to the State of Michigan,” said Jim Toeniskoetter, President & COO of HIROTEC AMERICA. “HIROTEC’s continued growth is a direct result of our dedication to delivering high quality closure parts and innovative manufacturing assembly systems to the automotive industry.”

HIROTEC’s expansion will create $26 million in capital investment and 140 new jobs for the state. The ground breaking ceremony will be held later this summer with the grand opening expected to take place in August 2015.
